Race to Save Lives - November 8, 2014
The idea for a community event to raise awareness about suicide was started by the Krueger family to honor the life of Elaine Krueger. The original Stayin' Afloat
event in downtown South Bend became what is now Race to Save Lives
held on the second Saturday in November on the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center Mishawaka campus.
Participants can relax in the warm and delicous cafe while waiting for the start of the event. As the event winds down, folks can head back inside for post race snacks, awards and a fantastic raffle! For those looking for things to do later in the day, this area of Mishawaka is well known for a variety of shopping, eateries, brewpubs and easy access to neighboring South Bend and Granger.
